Many thanks for flagging up so eloquently the unsuspected charms of those northern mountains. Great photos too. Interesting that Sei Shonagon also knew about Kurama, lending substance to a suspicion (aired once by Bre'er Chris on my blog) that really she was an extreme outdoor sportswoman all along....
