Fuji Circuit Haiku III

Winter snows
Under summer sky.
Framed in spring.

Fuji's body reflected
On the placid surface
Of the hot springs.

Awake to the east,
Fuji pulls back the sheets

As I slumber.

Twice a year, the sun rises directly behind Fuji, a phenomenon known as "Diamond Fuji." This morning, I was lucky enough to witness the spectacle.
